Gregatron's POTW: The Northern Trust

Playoffs are here, ladies and gentlemen. The FedEx Cup is a mere three weeks away from dishing out $10MM to some lucky soul. First in the rotation is The Northern Trust at Liberty National just across the river from the Big Apple. With all the glamour and excitement the city has to offer, who can pull ahead and crack the top 70 on the march towards East Lake?

Gregatron’s Pick of the Week: Brooks Koepka

It’s hard not to pick the best player in the world who claims to “only practice for big events.” I’m assuming that the first playoff event counts as another notch he wants in his belt. He finally won a tournament other than a major at the St Jude a couple weeks ago and is having a historic run in the majors. Look for him to be a contender coming down the stretch.

Back to the Range Bro: Phil Mickelson

Lefty seems to be trying out for the over 50 circuit with his play this season. While he got off to a hot start with a win at Pebble, he hasn’t cracked the top 40 in months and looks like the ghosts of seasons passed are catching up to him. Let’s hope he makes some birdies. The NYC crowds love him, but I doubt they’ll be singing his name come Sunday.
